The New Hope Lions Club
	A member of The International Association of Lions Club

Our Charter:

The New Hope Lions Club is a service organization - dedicated to meeting the needs of the people and communities of New Hope Alabama and surrounding areas.

Some of our endeavors include:

• Providing hearing and eye exams at New Hope Elementary
• Providing eyeglasses to needy individuals
• Seeking to Keep our City and Community Clean .

We also support:

• The New Hope Library
• The Alabama Lions Sight Screening (189 in Oct, 2007)
• The New Hope Library
• The New Hope Boy Scouts
• The New Hope "Mothers Read" Program.

Funding:

Our chapter provides funding for these projects through these intiatives:

• Display the Flag program,
• Our Annual Pancake Breakfast (in Cooperation with the New Hope High School Band)
• Through our Annual Yard Sale

Our Successes:

Some of our recent successes in our efforts to support the community:

• $1000 scholarship award to a New Hope High School Senior in May 2007
• Purchased a new computer for the New Hope Public Library in Oct. 2007
• Establishing the New Hope Telephone Cooperative
• Obtaining the first Bank in New Hope
• Helping to re-establish a New Hope Medical Clinic
• Establishing a “Clean Our City” campaign in New Hope, Alabama.

Join Us:

If you are civic minded, and would like to make a difference in a great cause, we would like to invite you as a future member. We meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Thursday of each month. Our meeting place is "Grandma's Place" . Meetings start at 7:00pm sharp. As part of our meeting agenda we also enjoy a great dinner. So … come on down! … and meet others who, like yourself, find great satisfaction in helping our community!
